Black Cherry Pie Switches (BCP)

With there being so many remakes of the “BCP” or Black cherry pie frankenswitch we decided that we wanted to give you guys the best opportunity to decide for yourself whether you wanted to spend the premium (at a discounted price) for the original BCP recipe consisting of the Cherry MX Top housing, H1 Bottom, and the Kailh Speed Pro Burgundy Stems (Originally NK Cream stem, however these are the same) or try the new released Kailh BCP featuring the original NK cream stem!

This switch is still a beloved favourite among veterans, and is often something that I personally go back to for a lot of my builds, or even just for that beautiful deep and loud spacebar sound. It is a fantastic switch, that even with the premium cost, it is something that I personally will never sell or give away in my own collection.

What are the differences?

Kailh BCP is an attempt to create does not have the same top and bottom housing as the original BCP, however it is cheaper and more affordable than making the original frankenswitch, and is clackier in sound profile. The Kailh bcp is the closest we have seen to the original bcp at a cheaper price point.

The original BCP is the premium option. It comes at a cost however it really hits that sound profile that we just can not seem to replicate as hard as people try, it is deep, loud, and creamy sounding with that classic cherry top housing sound that really makes us fall in love with the switch.

Why would I pick the Kailh BCP?

If you are after a stock experience that doesn't need modding in order to sound and feel fantastic, it is also cheaper, and clackier than the original if you are wanting to get more of a brighter soundprofile than the original.

Why would I pick the Frankenswitch BCP?

You would pick the Frankenswitch BCP if you want that original BCP experience, the work of relubing, switch opening, and filming all at the expense of that iconic deep switch profile with a loud and impactful sound signature at a bit of a premium.
