Message from Designer - Laminar:

About a year ago I tried finding a DCS Red Alert base kit. I failed miserably so I decided to rerun it myself. But I like beige so I made it beige. Then we had the genius idea of combining MOQ to make both base kits and well it worked. A sub-100 USD base kit was not easy to accomplish but by essentially removing my royalties and combining MOQ we were able to make it happen for not only 1 but 2 different colorways. The classic Red Alert and my Lam Alert version.

In collaboration with Maamaadei and TGR, we will be releasing 99 special edition units of Lam Alert TGR Jane V2 LE (Lam Edition) which includes a copper internal weight, toblerone and backplate. These will be raffled between buyers of the set who will have to pick a colour and layout if successful.

Cheap

DCS LAM Alert, while visually quite nice, are some of the thinnest caps I've ever seen. I honestly can't say I've ever seen keycaps this thin. Most average at a smidge over 1mm thick. LAM Alert come in at somewhere under 1/2 a millimetre. At $148 I'd expect a little more plastic. Though I imagine since they made a batch in the wrong colour, someone had to bear the associated increase in production costs... didn't they? Picture attached shows a random assortment of keycaps... LAM Alert are far thinner, with a corresponding thin cheap sound when fitted. If you're trying to make your keyboard sound like a toy - these are the keycaps for you. +2 STARS for the looks.
