After releasing two tactiles, we thought it's time to show linears some love. So.. enter the Taro N Sweet Potato, the 2nd switch in our Shaved Ice series. A switch inspired by the Taiwanese dessert of the same name that I first tried in Sydney back in 2010 (RIP Meet Fresh Perth).

A bit about the switch, it's a long pole linear with a LY stem and bottom housing for a buttery smooth key press and a deeper and lower pitched sound profile from the POK stem.

Switches are sold in packs of 10.

Quantity 1 = 10 switches.

Specifications:

  • Stem: LY
  • Top: POK
  • Bottom: LY
  • Spring: 60g 22mm single stage
  • Factory lubed with 205g0
  • Travel Distance: 3.4mm
  • Manufactured by BSUN for Keebz N Cables
  • Orders of 70 switches or more will come with novelty packaging and a Keebz N Cables Keeb Fresh dessert spoon.

    Nixe sound, feels great

I use them in my Zoompad, and they've been satisfying to use. Nice sound that's middle of the road, not dull but not clacky (at least in my numpas build)

I enjoy heavy tactile switches. Initially limiting myself because my board is RBG; Despite the fact these switches are opaque and linear, I could not get over the sound test.
After the changeover, my other switches will not be returning to my board any time soon (cherry blues). Thoroughly enjoying the feedback of these switches, the resistance is smooth with a soft spring-up if that makes sense; Initially my worry was a super light press down, with a springy pop-up. My typing is heavy and the resistance of these switches is a great balance. Before testing, I thought there was a chance the sound profile would change against my aluminum plate to more of a poppy sound. Instead, the bottom out is a creamy thock I cannot get enough of.
Ordered 70 and got the cute packaging with the spoon—I see why people collect these.
